I loved Sable but Torin what can I say hot sexy man on a stick for sure I love that these men are strong commanding HOT sexy alphas males in every way but are a bit broken deep down and all they want and need is to be loved for who they are. Dariel Raye did an absolutely amazing job bringing to life this amazing story, Not only are the men amazing I loved Key the way she wrote her and her personality was great, this series just gets better with each book and I can't wail for the next book so Dariel please get writing and get that book out for me I need more I would highly recommended reading this series it is one I can see myself reading over and over.

This story is red hot. Lot of action, lots of mystery and a few naughty parts that had me melting all over.
Torin is a Sentinal, a special breed of shifter who's sole purpose is to protect. After his appointment is refused at the best environmental lawyer is the area, Torin, being stubborn, waits for the lawyer, Stephanie Bates. While he's waiting he sees men trying to kidnap her. He protects her and takes her home but neither Torin or Steph can forget the other. Meanwhile, Torin has his own issues as wolves from his pack are disappearing. Can Cord and Sable help? Is it the SH people?

Having read the first in the Dark Sentinels series, Sable I figured I knew what to expect from Torin. Another set of strong alpha twin pack protectors for sure, definitely a hot romance, but this time we get just a bit more. We get that HEA we were looking for in Sable. I loved revisiting the characters from that story and seeing them finding their happy ending. While that was very satisfying, I loved meeting this new alpha wolf shifter and his spunky human lawyer. The sparks between them start flying before they even set eyes on each other.

Dr. Torin DuMont is a forensic specialist. The police have called him in numerous times to solve cases. However, that isn’t his full time job, no his full time job is heading up security and protection for his pack. Apparently, his job now includes hiring a lawyer to file environmental protection suits for the land his pack lives on. Torin is gruff mannered and quite domineering. You could say his demeanor rubs Stephanie Bates a little wrong. In fact, his rudeness has her sending him packing rather than taking the time to hear his case. While Torin may be quiet for the most part, demanding, and rude when he chooses to speak, he is a protector through and through. So, when he hears Stephanie being attacked in the parking garage of her law offices he rushes in to save her. Soon he’s asking himself about the old adage “Are we truly responsible for the life we save?”

Stephanie Bates is an uppity chit as far as Torin is concerned but a beautiful enticing one at that. Having lived her life under the thumb of one domineering man Stephanie does not intend to ever put up with it from anyone else. Even so, she finds herself drawn to Torin. “He’s hot sex on a big stick,” and everything she shouldn’t want; still she finds him irresistible. When Torin becomes her savior, she finds he is the only one she wants to call when she feels threatened. Her past has come calling and living has become a dangerous endeavor. It’s also become a challenge to keep her hands off of Torin and you can guess how that goes.

The story of Torin continues the fight against the villain from the first of the Dark Sentinels series. However, this story adds the element of a second threat to Stephanie from her past. I really liked the added depth this gave to the story as well as the interweaving of the previous characters into the storyline. The suspense and action is just a bit more than the first in the series as well. Overall, I’d say I enjoyed this one even more and can’t wait to see what Ms. Raye has in store for the third book in the series. While this one gave us a resolution to the threat against Stephanie and the HEA that was perhaps lacking in the first in the series, it left open the threat the packs are under from the deranged geneticist. I would recommend this one to anyone into paranormal romances with a side of suspense.

Story's interesting so I'll look out for Book 3. Environment & characters could use a bit of fleshing out, to me.
I hadn't read any of Dariel Raye's work before the first book 'Sable' and often the second is a let down, not so with this one at all!
I am looking forward to the next in this series and the authors continued works,great stories and characters.
First that I have to say is WOW what a awesome book!!!!! This one is longer than the first one and I am hoping the third book is evening longer than this one. I love how she as the first characters form the first book and so love the new characters. This book was so hot and wonderful that I could not put it down. It's a so must read if you love hot wolves!!!!!!!
awesome book 2 to a series. kept me informed on what happened to the people from book one yet started a whole new story.I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the concept of the brother and sister sentinels and how they communicated and interacted with one another. Siblings can be a pain in the rear but we love them anyway.
Oh my gosh! What can I say, I loved this book! I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series, Sable, and picked this one up right after. I'm so glad I did! I had a few questions about a couple of characters from the first book that were answered in Torins book nicely along with Torin and Stephanie's story. Like Carin said, the book grabs your attention and runs away with it! I'll be looking for more books from Dariel Raye!
