By putting on the show Chesca makes new friends. I love Chesca’s unique story and I love how Chesca has a special power that lets her talk to animals. I give the book a 5! Lara O’Brien brings to life the magical feel of Howth. I hope she writes another book!

Reading this book to oneself, or aloud to captivated youngsters is riveting! The characters & storyline are both endearing and invigorating, plus Chesca is a modern-day heroine channeling the greatness we all aspire to! Highly recommend it!

This is a wonderful book. A must for anyone who wants to share in a special story that brings back fond memories of growing up in Ireland and loving irish folklore and the art of story telling.
The characters come to live and you just find yourself routing for Grace to succeed in her mission.

Ordered this book for my 4 yr old daughter/myself because I grew up in the area written about and I wanted to relive my fabulous days spent in Howth stables! It absolutely lived up to my expectations and brought me right back to my childhood so 10 out of 10 for that and a big thank you too to the author! Thrilling, fast paced read, hard to put down and definitely leaves you wanting more. Ride on Spirit of Grace!
I bought this book for my 12 year old daughter, but decided to read it out loud for the whole family in the evenings of a cold winter week. We finished it within days. Everybody, from my husband, to my 20 year old home-from-college son to my 8 year old daughter.... we all enjoyed the magic of the speaking animals and the strength of the female characters (great girl roll models!). Great story with a great message. Highly recommended for all 8+
